Helping Heinz Babies Singapore Boost Their Social Media Presence
Heinz has a long and proud history as a food manufacturer for babies and strives for excellence across its entire range of products. Heinz started making baby food in Australia in 1951 and currently manufactures almost 141 varieties of baby food. Heinz Babies Singapore approached Pi Social Media to manage their social channels and leverage the platform to keep in touch with their customers. The client required us to provide health tips for babies, product information, organise contests and inform about special offers to their customers via social media.
How we did it
Pi Social Media has been managing the Facebook page of Heinz Babies Singapore since April 2013. Initially, the client asked us to create and manage their Heinz Singapore Facebook account, promote their products, organise contests, highlight discounts and special offers. Pi designed a visually-attractive Heinz Baby Voucher App for Heinz Babies Singapore Facebook users. The app generated a code for the users upon registering with their name, NRIC number, phone number & email address. With the generated code, users were rewarded with freebies from the Heinz Booth at the Baby Market Fair event. The app generated more than 260 codes, and resulted in 250 new Likes on the Facebook page.
Pi ran Heinz Baby Photo Contest on Facebook where users were asked to submit images of their babies having Heinz products, via Facebook messages. All images were branded with Heinz logo and uploaded to a contest gallery. Users were asked to share the contest link with friends to receive Likes. The winners were selected on the basis of highest number of Likes. The contest garnered 35 entries and 1509 Likes.
Pi Social Media also provided other design services like creating multiple Facebook covers on special events to regularly refresh the appearance of the page, as well as newsletters for events and was responsible for their distribution.
Pi Social Media followed a similar strategy for other social networking platforms, namely, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram and achieved considerable success.
What we achieved
With its continuous efforts to make the Facebook page of Heinz Babies Singapore even more engaging, Pi Social Media has successfully increased their Facebook Likes to 5747 (and counting). Considering the results on Facebook, Heinz Babies Singapore decided to expand to Pinterest and Instagram from January 2015. Till date, Heinz Singapore has 84 followers on Twitter, 197 followers on Instagram and 121 followers on Pinterest. Overall, the client is pleased with the results of the project.
