Project Overview:
One Social Media, a social media consultant company wanted Pi to take care of their social media efforts including blogging, regular updates on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn and other activities
The Mission:
One Social Media, being a social media company, needed to project an image that would establish them on the as powerful thought leaders in the domain. While the client already had social media presence and some activities were ongoing, Pi was to bolster those efforts and create a sustained buzz around them. Pi Social Media’s plan of action to accomplish that included:-
- Regular updates on Facebook and Twitter with both interesting industry related news as well as company updates
- Informative, in-depth blogs on the subject of social media that both educate as well as draw in more customers
- Social media monitoring for feedback, beginning conversations through comments on the various social media platforms and engaging with people on the social web
- Boosting the number of fans, followers and connections on the many social media platforms
Action Taken:
After studying the client’s business model and customer base in detail, Pi began an intricately planned campaign involving the following
- Regular blogs updates with insightful, though-provoking entries that would generate comments and discussion
- News and information updates on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn
- Reaching out to potential customers on various social platforms to make them aware of the services on offer and how One Social Media could help them
- Connecting with members of various related communities on the social web to increase the number of targeted fans, followers and connections
Results:
The One Social media campaign generated tremendous interest and brand awareness for the client. A few months after it began, the One Social Media blog was listed as one of the top 50 blogs of 2010. On Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn too, the One Social Media brand generated a lot of interest, with the number of Twitter fans quickly shooting to the thousands.
