Project Overview:

Pi was asked to create online buzz surrounding Noah’s Ark Inc, a company specializing in direct sales of stuffed animals, and establish the Noah’s Ark brand on the social web.


The Mission:

Before Pi took over the social media activities of Noah’s Ark, the client had little or no presence on the social web. Thus it was Pi’s responsibility to build curiosity and interest around the brand on the social web and interact with existing and potential customers on various platforms to create a powerful and vibrant social presence. Some of Pi’s primary duties were


  • To reach out, via social media, to potential, location-specific customers
  • To build connections with potential “party leaders” who would in turn spread the Noah’s Ark brand through offline efforts
  • To create a solid foundation of fans and followers on social media platforms
  • To keep the audience interested in Noah’s ark through regular, fresh blog updates

Action Taken:

Because Noah’s Ark follows a direct sales model, it was important to reach out to as many people as possible. Thus Pi decided to spearhead the social media campaign with heavy activity on the two most popular social media platforms, Twitter and Facebook. Activities included:-


  • Regular Facebook and Twitter updates
  • Interaction with interested potential customers and party-leaders
  • Designing the visual elements of the campaign like the blog banner and the Twitter background, as well as the Facebook profile image
  • Regular blog updates with interesting, powerful content
  • Joining relevant Facebook groups and pages and commenting on them to increase awareness about the Noah’s Ark brand beyond the fan community
  • Encouraging and spurring conversations in Twitter and Facebook about the brand and its products

Results:

As a result of Pi’s efforts, word about Noah’s Ark and its products quickly reached more than a thousand people. The Noah’s Ark Facebook page is now a vibrant community of customers and party leaders sharing stories, advice, tips and ideas.
