Project Overview:
Click Asia MasterClasses 2011, a one-day workshop/event centered on PPC and Affiliate Marketing, wanted Pi to create media buzz around the event and increase awareness about how PPC and Affiliate Marketing could help businesses increase their profits.
The Mission:
Click Asia MasterClasses is an offshoot of the successful Click Asia Summit event, so it already had existing brand recognition. Pi Social Media’s responsibility was:-
- To take that brand recognition and magnify it to reach out to a broader audience more interested in the specific topics under discussion.
- To design various visual elements like a Facebook landing page, Twitter backgrounds and the Facebook profile image while maintaining the overall Click Media branding in mind.
- To spread word not just about the event but also about PPC and Affiliate marketing and their benefits
- To promote Click Asia MasterClasses as the premiere workshop/event in the digital marketing arena in India
- To highlight the experts and panelists who would be speaking at the event, as well as their credentials.
- To get people talking about Click Asia MasterClasses and generate strong word-of-mouth buzz
Action Taken:
The Pi team decided to focus on Twitter and Facebook as the primary platforms through which this campaign would be executed. Among the many actions taken by Pi to ensure its success were:-
- Regular updates on the Click Asia Twitter and Facebook channels about the experts who would be speaking at the event
- Informative news updates and tips about PPC and Affiliate Marketing
- Press releases written and distributed on PR hosting websites to raise awareness about the event
- Monitoring and encouraging conversation about the event on various social media channels like Twitter and Facebook
- Redesigning existing Click Asia channels to fit the theme and branding of Click Asia MasterClasses
Results:
Click Asia MasterClasses was attended by almost a hundred representatives from some of the top companies of India and abroad like Kochar Infotech, Times Internet Ltd, Adgully, Tradebriefs and IndiaTimes. The Twitter and Facebook channels were vibrant with activitiy, with 1160 fans on Facebook and almost a thousand followers on Twitter.
